UC Irvine Department of Medicine is committed to providing quality patient care and conducting innovative research in a vibrant educational environment. The department educates undergraduate and graduate students as well as providing continuing medical education for practicing physicians. Our programs offer quality education, diverse clinical experiences and ample opportunities to engage in research activities. With nearly 300 active research protocols, the department has the largest research scope at the university. Substantial funding from the National Institutes of Health makes much of this possible.
