UC Irvine Nephrologists named 'Super Doctors'

The UC Irvine School of Medicine's Division of Nephrology is proud to announce that six of its faculty members are among eight Orange County-area nephrologists recognized as Super Doctors or Rising Stars for 2018.

Super Doctors® follows a multi-step selection process designed to identify physicians who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The result is a selective yet diverse listing of outstanding doctors, representing consumer-oriented medical specialties.

UC Irvine Health nephrologists are mainstays on various lists that recognize top physicians in Orange County.

Moradi and Pahl are among more than 150 UC Irvine Health physicians who have been named 2017 Physicians of Excellence, an honor bestowed by the Orange County Medical Association, a voluntary physician organization that exists to promote the art and science of medicine, the protection of public health and the betterment of the medical profession.

Kalantar and Pahl were listed among the 2016 "Top Doctors," a designation by Orange Coast magazine in collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., publisher of America’s Top Doctors and other consumer health guides. It draws from Castle Connolly’s database of Top Doctors, all recommended for their clinical skills by other doctors and individually vetted by a physician-led research team.

Pahl also was among more than 100 UC Irvine Health physicians named Best Doctors in America for 2016. It is an honor given to just 5 percent of U.S. doctors in a national survey of their peers.
