Summer Healthcare Experience (SHE)uc irvine cddc summer healthcare experience

The Summer Healthcare Experience (SHE) is a career exploration program designed for young women, rising Juniors and Seniors in High School, who are interested to learn about careers in healthcare while also providing them with the practical tools and mentorship to achieve their educational and career goals.

The program was founded in 2014 and so far over 200 young women have participated.  SHE Program Alumni were contacted to find out how participating in SHE influenced them.   Nearly 90% of the respondents reported they were currently pursuing a career in healthcare or allied health professions.
